Skills sync
Skills sync (Aiden OS)
Terraform modules under modules/aios-agent-*/skills/ hold skill card source. Applying the module wires agents and skill_refs; it does not by itself publish card bodies into the tenant catalog.
Without sync, agents fail search_skill / load_skill even though git and tofu apply look fine.
When you need this
- Any agent module that ships
skills/*.md(observer-sre, accuracy-rca, cfn-author, skill-picker overlays, …) - After upgrading a module that changed skill text or names
- SE demos where the talk track depends on a pinned runbook skill
Steps (per tenant)
- Register a skill source in Aiden OS pointing at this repository path, for example:
modules/aios-agent-cfn-author/skills/modules/aios-agent-observer-sre/skills/modules/aios-agent-accuracy-rca/skills/
- Pin the branch or tag that contains the merged cards.
- Run skillsync (or the product’s equivalent sync job) and wait for success.
- Verify from an agent session:
search_skillwith a natural-language phrase from the skill descriptionload_skillbody matches the file in git
- Pin on stages — critical procedures should appear in workflow
skill_refs/ moduleworkflow_skill_refs, not only rely on discovery. - Script packs (cfn-author and similar) — after module upgrades, recycle the Ubuntu sidecar so env tarball matches
script_pack_version(see Enterprise deployment profile).
